Spring Blossoms Through Acid Colored Glasses

Nikon D7000 28-300mm @ 82mm ISO 400 3-bkts f/11 Lr3; HDR Efex Pro

A stylized version of some of the flowers blossoming in the sun outside of the local Lowe’s home improvement store.  Not that I ever took acid (LSD), but this is my imagination of an acid trip.

  3. I promise not to post any more “monitor burners” in a long time, Ken. It actually is a little too garish for my own sensibilities, but it was kind of fun.

All I can do is quote from a Beatles song as tribute to this photo:

“Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies.
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
    A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
    Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
    And she’s gone.”

Never has the adage “A photograph is worth a thousand words” been quite so nicely illustrated.

  7. Thanks, Sheila. I was thinking of you when I was getting some macro shots in the backyard yesterday.
