Hobbs Battery

Nikon D7000 18-200mm @ 48mm ISO 800 3-bkts f/16 Lr3, HEP1, TpzSim; PsCS5

It has probably been a long time since this building on Glassell Street in Orange, California had an inventory of batteries for sale, but I am glad the advertising sign on the side of the building has survived.  I love the look of mature buildings with period decoration or art work on them, even commercial art work.

  1. I always love a good ghost sign on the side of a building. Nicely done.

    • Thanks, Mark. Yes, when I find a building with one of these signs it makes me feel a lot better, than seeing some electrified plastic sign.

    • Thanks, Sheila, yes it would be a huge mistake for some one to ever remove or cover it.

  4. Love the old painted signs on buildings. That surely a bygone era. 🙂
You really made this look like a painting and the lighting is very nice.

    • Thanks, Jimi. Isn’t it interesting that reminders of bygone eras are always sort of romantic for us, but we usually don’t think about the aspects of life gone by where our lives were impacted by harsher circumstances.
