Owen’s Bistro

Nikon D7000 10-24mm @ 10mm ISO 200 1/80 f/11 Lr3, TpzSim; PsCS6

There is a small concentration of Chino, California’s oldest commercial buildings on D street and the two brick structures in this are Owen’s Bistro.  The structure on the left, with the tall openings and drapes is the outdoor dining patio, the building to the right houses the interior dining room.  The fountain and sculpture in the foreground are titled “Internal Bridge Between Earth and Sky”.  (I do not know who the sculptor is.)  More on Owen’s Bistro here and here.

Just so everyone, including the very excellent photographer who took this shot, gets their proper due:

“One individual designed both the Internal Bridge Between Earth and Sky (fountain and bronze sculpture) and Haliegh (bronze sculpture), both located in Aguiar Square adjacent to the Bistro, for the City. The individual is Guy Angelo Wilson and was based out of Corona, CA. His email address is Guy also did the sculpture of the child climbing the façade of the Children’s Youth Museum located next door to Owen’s Bistro as well as the Russ Miller Memorial sculpture currently being relocated to the City’s new Police Department.”

  2. Thanks for the sleuthing, Stanley, I couldn’t find much on the city’s web site. I’ve got a shot of the kid climbing the bank building here:

    • Sheila, the word that comes to my mind when I look at the fountain is “organic”.
